PLANTING WITH THE PUBLIC AND WITH CHILDREN

On the morning of 22 November, together with the project coordinator, our landscape architect and the Mayor of Klecan, we welcomed the ninth graders from the Klecan primary school to the Boleslavka Avenue site. First we explained to the children how to plant trees, added some important interesting facts and news from the area and then the youngsters themselves joined in. Although the weather was typically muddy and inhospitable, nobody seemed to mind. Planting, fertilizing, and the trees got their first primer.

In the afternoon we were visited by children from the Klecan kindergarten, accompanied by a large number of members of the public. Experts taught them how to plant fruit trees properly and how to take care of them afterwards. We spent a wonderful time with our enthusiasts in the planting until dark. The Boleslavka Avenue is thus our common work, of which we are rightly proud.

„I am very happy that we have managed to restore a piece of nature and the trees will line the road from Boleslavka to Zdibsko. I would like to thank all the owners who have given the town of Klecany permission to plant trees on or near their land. Unfortunately, several owners did not give their consent. This is also the reason why some trees will be spaced further apart, because we had to avoid planting on land whose owners refused to plant trees.“ The Mayor of Klecan commented on the planting with these words.
