ALLEY A3
ZÁMECKÁ

To the east from the centre of Brnek there is an unpaved road that skirts the area of the former castle garden. This road has a dual function, serving as a local service road and as a popular walking route into the countryside. Along this road there are grassy strips with a variety of vegetation including a mixture of trees and shrubs. These strips are intermittent and around them are large areas of arable land to the north and south. In the planned open areas within the existing vegetation we are implementing mixed planting of walnut, birch cranesbill and wild pear and cherry. The avenue created enhances the character of the residential agricultural landscape and increases the recreational potential of the area.

The following constraints have been taken into account in our planning:

  • Compliance with the protection zone of the overhead power lines, where tree planting is prohibited.
  • Ensuring that the area remains serviced by traffic whilst allowing access to adjacent arable land.
  • Consideration to ensure that new vegetation is sufficiently distant from adjacent arable land boundaries.
  • The planting of this avenue reinforces the insulating and protective element at the boundary of the built-up area, introduces a beneficial effect on the microclimate of the area and also improves the overall aesthetic impression of the site.

In addition, the edible fruits increase the use value for passers-by and provide a suitable habitat for small animals.
